PoB Reduced effect of Curses

Why does this Flask gives me only 16% reduced effect on Curses,
when it states 62% reduced effect on Curses (PLUS the 63%+25% increased effect).
Its the same text as on the Pantheon and Tree.

The math in this game is so weird and missleading.

You seem to have forgotten to carry the 1. It says 116% reduced effect of Curses on you.

62% * 1.88 = 116.56%, rounded down to 116%

The 1.88 comes from 25% increased effect on the prefix modifier, and 63% increased effect from the Enkindling Orb enchantment.

[Edit] Looking at it from the final effect of curses on you, you're going from 100% effect of curses on you, to 50% effect of curses on you (half effect, from pantheon and mastery), to -66% of curses on you with the flask. I assume the curses would be treated as 0% effect in this case, without a source of increased effect, but I'm unsure.

If the curse effect on you is 0%, then the curse does nothing and therefore is fully mitigated.
If the number is negative it simply means you overinvested into this stat.

If oyu had zero investment, the curse effect would be 100%
Your Pantheon and Mastery combined reduce this by 50%, meaning the remaining curse effect on you is 50%.
Your flask reduces this by another 116%. So its the remaining 50% - 116% from your flask resulting in -66% on you.

0% curse effect on you is what you want.


If you had a Mageblood belt, you could guarantee this flask had a 100% uptime and you wouldnt need the Pantheon nor the Mastery to mitigate curses entirely.

Then you dont need the Mastery nor the Pantheon.

Having said that:
You are an Inquisitor with Pious Path.
Which means you are already getting 50% curse effect reduction while you are on consecrated ground (make sure to tick that box in your config).

Now this means you dont even need this flask, if you want to keep ypur Mastery and Pantheon.
All 3 things add up to 100% reduced curse effect on you and that means you are immune.


Either way: You did overinvest massively.

Keep in mind that having 100% reduced effect of curses on you does not mean that you cannot be cursed.

You can still be cursed, but the effect of those curses will be reduced to 0% unless there is some source of increased curse effect.

alrigth, with Consecrated ground it works.
But doesnt that mean the text is missleading?

When the 20% of mastery results in 20%, the 60% (or whatever it is) on flask should result also in that number.

But what do i know... me and math were never friends.
