Computer losing power suddenly while playing.

Hello,

I recently updated poe to start sanctum, and I've been experiencing complete sudden shutdowns of my computer while playing. Sometimes I'll be able to play for up to half an hour before it happens, sometimes it happens as soon as I boot up the game.

I updated all my drivers and windows, and checked for optional updates too. I checked the event viewer and the only events that show up were "system shut down unexpectedly" without any extra info. Let me know if you need any logs or other data to help diagnose the issue. This doesn't happen with any other games, and never happened to PoE before.

Maybe overheat, maybe is a part failing, honestly this is something that you will need to ask your nearby pc repair shop to check, since it does not look like software issues.
This doesn't happen in other games. CPU temps well under 60c, and it sometimes happens when just starting the game and it immediately shuts off, so I highly doubt it's overheat. I'm far more inclined to think there's something up with the software.
post your entire PC's specs.
MB
PSU
GPU
Memory
Storage Drives
etc...

I am suspecting insufficient amount of power being drawn causing the shutdown and the other games just aren't pushing your system enough.
motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X570-E
psu: Rosewill PHOTON Series 850W
gpu: SAPPHIRE NITRO+ AMD RADEON RX 6900 XT
ram: G.SKILL Trident Z Neo Series 32GB
storage: Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1TB 1000.2 GB
cpu: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
windows 10.
and again, it doesn't happen in other games, I need you all to understand this.
I just ran several benchmarks for hours including haven and cinebench, and did not experience any power loss. It is only when playing path of exile, and in fact only when playing path of exile now after updating. I did not have this issue in previous updates. I have also attempted to both roll back and fully update drivers, to no effect.

I had the exact same problem in the Heist league and in the last league. But it resolved itself.
You are not alone with this problem.
Hi, does your computer completely freeze as this happens?
Cuz I'm experiencing a full blown freezing of my computer. Can't do anything, mouse won't move. Can't ctrl alt delete or anything. This leads me to need to force shutdown my computer by holding my power button for 3 seconds and the rebooting it.

Happens on a very irregular basis and can't figure out what's wrong.
I get nothing in the poe log, only the latest text, which usually has been like a maven voice line or einhar etc.

I'm thinking it's something about with audio that causes this but I'm highly unsure.

I am as well using a 6900xt but a 5800 cpu, can it have something to do with AMD drivers?

I actually had this same thing happen to me today, the way you explained it sounded exactly like my issue. Weird thing is I have been playing since league start and it just happened now. Was doing Lab and used flame dash and pc locked up and nothing worked.

After I rebooted it seemed to work fine, temps normal, no errors I saw, ran a few maps with no issues and tested other games to make sure...nothing. All drivers are up to date on 5600 + 6650xt (win11).
I've been having this same problem for about the last year. Doe not happen with any other game I play - Fallout 4, Far Cry 6. Seems to be entirely random. Will happen during intense fighting scenes and when I am doing nothing in my simple hideout. I'm baffled.
Yall might not have the best power supplies. Poor qual to outright bad. Not every game soaks the amps that poe do. Not much else is going to shut the pc down.
