useless small node aside big Hex Master node
|
Hello everyone.
So I am refering to a situation within the passive skill tree in version 3.20.0, after the recent Curse update. The nodes in question are in the top of the skilltree and involve the big node ,,Hex Master". ![]() Now, ,,Hex Master" is a node, that greatly affects your curses. That is nice. ,,Hex Master" makes your curses least for an infinite time. This is also nice. Pathing from the ,,Intelligence" node from where ,,Hex Master" is connected to, you have direct access to a cluster of curse-nodes. Conveniently nice! The first node of that specific curse-cluster aside the big ,,Hex Master" (which makes your curses least infinite) you have to allocate a node that increases the duration of your curses in order to even enter this cluster. This... is less nice. It is a weird design choice to have an important big node about infinite curses be accompanied with a curse cluster that you can only enter by literally throwing away a skill point for a 100% useless effect - if you decided to go into that direction of the passive skill tree for the big Hex Master node. My suggestion: I want to bring forward the suggestion of swapping out the small nodes of that curse cluster. So both ,,curse duration" nodes are exchanged with ,,curse effect" nodes and both ,,curse effect" nodes are exchanged with ,,curse duration" nodes. After this change, it will be possible to get to the special node without getting forced to allocate a node that is 100% useless, if you have gone for the big node that hangs on the very same intelligence-node. The advantage of having ,,curse effect" be the entry point into the cluster is that ,,curse strength" is never useless when playing with curses. Curse duration on the other side can be devalued by a node that is literally 2 tiles away. Meow =^.^= Last bumped on Dec 12, 2022, 5:04:48 AM

TL:DR everything.
hex master is the keystone, that duration small node is on the path to the +2 level of all curse skill gem notable and is fine. |

Okay, I feel like I need to present my feedback and suggestion in a better way and give a TL;DR, too. Sorry if the example above is inconvenient to read ^^'
So the TL;DR of the feedback is following: If a player wants to go for the ,,Hex Master" node, then this player will also most likely want to go for the nearby curse-cluster with the +2 to all curse gem. But the first node of the curse-cluster will increase curse duration, which is completely useless to your Hexes, if you already allocated ,,Hex Master". ,,Curse effect" is useful in any case, while ,,curse duration" is not. ![]() TL;DR of suggestion: Switch the ,,curse-duration" and ,,curse effect" nodes with eachother in order to make it possible to go a path into the cluster without allocating 100% useless nodes if you have allocated the ,,Hex Master" node. I hope this shorter version and the picture above makes it easier to understand what the concern is and what I am suggesting. |
