Toxic rain support

Hi there,
I play a t.r. Build, going for cdot. I had it 6 linked for some time with gems recommended by a friend, but after reading up I wonder if they really are the best choice.
I use: Empower support (strangely enough NEVER mentioned in any t.r.-guide I found), mirage archer, efficacy, vicious projectiles and void manipulation.
But now I became aware of swift affliction, concentrated effect and greater multiple projectiles.
So, would you recommend a change? If so, what should I throw out, which of mine is the weakest, and which should I choose instead?

Depends. The less attack speed is bad if you have Withering Touch in it. May still be best 6th link though.

Usually bad. Especially bad for static single target.

For single target you should make sure to have enough Wither stacks on the target. Can have 'Withering Touch' on Toxic Rain ballista for example. Not sure how good just using Withering Step is.

As implied - it depends on your build and what you want to do with it...

Empower is good if you have L4. Not very good at L3 or below.

GMP is bad because Projectile Damage helps Toxic Rain (this is usually not the case for dot skills) and because Toxic Rain starts with 5 arrows (so GMP is giving you less than twice the arrows you have).

Concentrated Effect is only good if you know what you are doing (there are certain radius breakpoints to hit with Toxic Rain and you have to calibrate exactly to maximize--if this sounds too complex, don't play this support).

Wow, thanks a lot for the detailed analysis, food for thought... Guess I'll keep what I got now. My empower is on 3 plus 1 from the bow it's in, so it raises t.r. by 3 levels...

I meant if the Empower is L4 BEFORE counting the bow. If you have a L3 empower gem, it's not very good.
