Ping Randomly Spikes To Infinity
Hello, So my issue is that my ping will randomly just spike up to infinity on this character I am trying to level. I played for like 2 hours on my other char in maps and it was fine. I tried to look up any possible solution and have done a trace route and there seems to be no issue regarding packet loss.
Everything else works fine while connected to the internet. Last bumped on Dec 4, 2022, 1:50:18 AM

" please make a 300+ packet WinMTR report to the instance IP where this is happening WHEN it happens and post the result here. Also try this --> 1. Run packcheck.exe as "an administrator", 2. Delete the local PoE cache files here --> C:\Users\"your windows account name"\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile\ 3. Now start PoE again as "an administrator". When at the login screen, select options. 4. Now set texture to MEDIUM and Sound channels to low. 5. Login to the game and remove ALL MTX from gems and gear. 6. See if the issue is resolved ? Depending if you are using DX11, Vulcan or DX12 then try changing between them..... |

I am unsure if I did the WINmtr thing correctly but heres what I ended up with.

Line 2 is your ISP node "out in the road" (conenction node between your home and your ISP's network. And from there forward is your ISP's network. As you can see, insane LAg spikes starts from line 3 and gets insanely worse from there. You will need to contact your ISP and give them this WinMTr report. |

Is there anything further I should inform the ISP. Since everything else works perfectly fine on the internet and POE seems to be the only issue periodically.
" normaly I would say to turn off the router/modem for 30+ minutes and then turn it on again + make sure the router/modem is using latest firmware. Other then that, no. |
Ok, I will attempt to restart and update the Router. I also tried using a VPN and that seems to fix the issue completely.
I appreciate your input and help. :) |
