Totem and its mechanic to copy stats of user
Hi there,
I read about the totem in these threads: - https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/8i4mcf/some_questions_about_what_does_and_doesnt_affect/ -https://pathofexile.fandom.com/wiki/Totem they are saying that totem " they copy every stat you have, including keystones and uniques". So I have my questions: 1/ Does it have my block chance stats? For example, I have a shield that cast certain curse on block ( can't remember it). Can my totem do it too? 2/ For example, I have keystone "Pain attunement" and I am on low life, so I got 30% spell damage. I know that my totem damage will increase because my spell damage stats increase. However, if TOTEM ALSO LOW LIIFE, will they get another extra 30%? By the way, how to make a totem "low life" consistently? 3/ Chaos Inoculation, if I have this keystone, does that means my totems also have it? Thanks! Last bumped on Nov 21, 2022, 5:42:49 PM

Totems have your stats they do not have your gear or skills. So they cannot block or gain Pain Attunement to double dip. No CI either.
Don't use Fandom. Use this instead: https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Totem |

The above is a bit misleading.
Totems do NOT have your stats. When they attack or cast spells, they do so, as if they were you. If you have leech...the totems leeches to itself. If you have on hit effects, the totem gets them for its hits. If the totem kills something, you get the exp and flask charges, the totem gets the "on kill" effects. The totem has its own defenses, not yours. Think of a totem as a proxy for your attacks and spells. Last edited by Odif#4251 on Nov 21, 2022, 5:43:44 PM
