The real problem with delve

So, as every year, I do the endless delve event to get something unique into my bloodstream.

But what it made me realize is, that the mechanic designed around fossils... barely drops any. You get spammed on every corner by resonator chests, be it in the darkness or as random items rewards nodes, but actually finding fossils is near impossible.

In regular game environment you have access to other league mechanics that drop fossils left and right, but delve? Not really, no.
Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris.

Yea fossils were always this rare thing to find amidst all the silly weapon/armor/ jewelry boxes. And you can’t even get them in city walls or chests.

It’s like they think delve should be the chaos recipe
Mash the clean
Fire nodes, minion nodes, lightning nodes, etc. are guaranteed to drop fossils.
yes, those specific nodes drop 3-5 of their respective fossils.

which are also not the valuable fossils.


imo, almost every node in delve should drop at least 1 fossil. thats the whole point of delve.


betrayal encounters drop lots of veiled items. beast encounters always give you beasts. harvest encounters always give you harvest things. successful blight encounters always give oils or a blighted map.

see the pattern? do league mechanic == get league reward

except delve is 'league mechanic == chaos recipe'
I play events pretty much no matter what, but I think most players agree this one would be better with a crafting bench and more fossils.
100% agree fossils are way to rare. I was doing endless delve and had 100s of resonators with no fossils to put in them.i got to 92 and depth 200 or something before I died too. If you are not constantly exploring the darkness they are soon rare its kind of silly


Make them drop more common so we can use them especially in endless delve mean no crafting bench and no fossils make it very very lame.

That would be really cool if they existed. One every 20 delve depths is literally worthless.
this falls under the same way of why ggg dont really know how to make events actually feel special and fun in many ways..

the crafting bench with all crafts unlocked that could literally be there and it would affect nobody.. the 1% would still reach depth 600 in day 1 or 2 but the rest would get to enjoy a massive qol that for sure would be welcome..

Bit crazy that in almost 2023 the fun has to be measured on small amounts in order to keep in "check" players it's a recipe for disaster more than helping..

im getting more fossils off league mechanics in maps than in delve itself. Even from Tujen lol. Tujen sells stacks of them almost every other re-roll.

That's the point I was trying to make. You get more fossils from other league mechanics than from delve itself.

I guess I was coping too hard thinking I'd have fun fossil crafting during the event. Instead I have a ton of resonators but no fossils to craft with!
