5x mirrored item vendor recipe

I'm trading 5x shadowed rings of the same type (cold <-> fire) but since two of the rings have the same name it's giving me a chance + trade value of the other 3. But the rings aren't 'mirrors' of each other, they just have the same name.
Is this intended? The vendor just looks at the names or something? I feel like the vendor should offer me a non-mirrored ring with 5 in the window...   Last bumped on Nov 15, 2022, 11:20:12 AM

That's intended. "2 x Identified rare items with same name & BOTH NOT 20 quality = 1 Chance orb. 3x = Alchemy Orb instead." (source)
