axe mastery
why is the rage gain on hit node for axes and swords while the entire wheel is axe specific?

Pretty sure its for that one Axe/Sword unique combo.

Might be purely because of Varunastra, at least that's the only reason I can think of :D

I think because Bloodscent (Large Cluster Jewel notable on Axe/Sword clusters) is also like that.

a common dual wielding trope for warriors is a sword and an axe.

cool, but is there any option for regular swords?

No. This is also why whenever I play 2H melee (not often), I always play axe or staff. Staff gets free Fortify on cluster and a lot of crit nodes, axe gets really good masteries (rage, destroy on kill, onslaught effect). Sword and mace basically suck in comparison.

" swords get frenzy and impale chance(making it easier to get to 100%), I find the passives for swords themselves to be better than axes to(thanks crit nodes). maces/sceptres are pretty meh. |

makes sense. you'd think swords would be more fleshed out with like parry and block mechanics/skills or something. anything to make a real gameplay comparison to the plain dmg advantage of axe
