Vaal Temple Corrupting Smoke in boss room

Edit: apparently this only happens sometimes...not sure what causes it when it happens.


I have started messing around with Vaal Temple recently, and have been enjoying it for the most part, getting some interesting corrupted items. The "corrupting smoke" in the boss room NEVER goes away?? Is there any way to gain immunity to this? I really want to check out all these items but they're in the middle of a cloud of death and every one I pick up is another portal gone... confused why this stuff sticks around indefinitely...

its phys damage over time, so flat % phys reduction works for it. (NOT armour)

I think if it's the degen I'm thinking of, it all depends on which of the three bosses you kill first. You have to target the correct one and it stops the smoke from ever appearing or sticking around.

Vaal temple is also known as one of the most broken boss fights in the game. Most avoid it
