Sextant farming

What would be the fastest way to get lots of sextants?
You bore me, mageling.

Altars with "map currency" in large maps with Grand Design and all altar nodes. I did that last league running precincts.
hmm thats not very fast, especially for standard :(

They start dropping in stacks of 5+ once it gets juicy enough. Its by far the best way besides straight up buying them.
The only viable alternatives are Tujen which would require you to farm logbooks first or Uber Maven which again requires you to farm the sets first and then be able to kill her in less than 2 minutes.

You can't really farm the 2 div cards which come from petrified forest walls in delve or from all unique maps because it is straight up faster to farm logbooks, get some stacked decks and flip them for those 2 specific cards.

i need to ask, what do you mean by juicy enough?

This is leftovers from 60+ pack size, 4 sextants and random scarabs thrown in there. You easily sustain sextants + get plenty of leftovers. And I wasnt even doing it the correct way by choosing a map with a fast boss to rush so you only get the minion modifiers on the altars. And im not even turbo farming either. You could easily double or triple what I have with dedicated map blasting.

Not sure what your overall goal is but if you want to save up sextants you dont have to use them while you are stockpiling them.

Ignore the chisels lol

so u got 145 sextants from how many maps?

the full story is that im farming Cracic Chimerals in Underground Sea and i need the beast copy sextant, which is pretty rare anyway.

Thats 145 leftover. Im using 4+ per 3 maps so no clue how much I made all league.

Just run a grand design atlas tree with an easily rushable boss for 20 maps or so and see if you like it. If not search for a different strategy but im really not sure there is a better one.
