Elementalist - Hits always shock.

What is considered a "hit"?
does always mean always? I feel like maps with "--% chance to avoid ailments" they don't get shocked and then lightning conduit doesn't work and leads me to being surrounded. Last bumped on Oct 7, 2022, 12:01:29 PM

Yes the chance to avoid ailments map mod will let them avoid shocks even with shaper of storms. Even though you shock 100% of the time the monsters will have a % chance to avoid that shock with the map mod.
And a hit is basically anything that isnt damage over time. Though there are a few exceptions in that some skills have a hit and DoT portion. |

Thank you for that.
I guess I got it confused with stuff like "Resolute technique - Your hits cant be evaded" assuming that I will always shock. That kinda stinks to have another layer to maps that my Lightning Conduit character can't do. I recently switched from having convergence to "take no elemental reflect damage" just so I could "Alch and go". Spell Surpression, Ele Reflect, avoiding Ailments... sigh, maybe I should only "transute and go" maps lol |

" If you don't like dying or a trying to get a level up that is a reasonable thing to do. The hardcore players have been doing that for a decade and they still consider themselves "hardcore". It also saves currency, alchs aren't worth much and you'll usually have more than you need, scours on the other hand... Also with Exarch/eater influence and your atlas passive tree your transmute and go maps probably have more mobs and juice than alched + vaaled maps 2 years ago. The power curve is steep after all, you won't have empty maps even without alchs. |
