constant crashing before even getting to login screen

basically the title. game played perfect an hour ago, i stepped away and got something to eat and noticed the game had shut down, nothing out of normal since its done that randomly for years for me if left idle, now when i go to start the game it crashes without any message or anything before i can even get to the login screen. doesnt matter if i click to skip the logo intro or let it play it crashes before it finishes. any suggestions or help?


update: kept trying and got this message finally:

Try this -->
1. Run packcheck.exe as "an administrator",
2. Delete the local PoE cache files here -->
C:\Users\"your windows account name"\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile\
3. Now start PoE again as "an administrator". When at the login screen, select options.
4. Now set texture to MEDIUM and Sound channels to low.
5. Login to the game and start playing.

just logged in to attempt this and its actually working now so i dunno wtf was wrong with it. i went so far as to attempt to change what renderer was used for it from dx11 (dont remember switching that) back to vulkan and that didnt work so i restored everything and went to bed. tried it this morning and its acting like that all never happened so im going to assume an update to my pc was hung up and its scheduled maintenance on itself last night must have fixed whatever was stopping it. i did copy your instructions though just in case that happens again in the future so heres to hoping they work later

and i spoke too soon. found this though in the main client.log file though that may help shed a little light if support does read these, (nothing personal, just bad track record with blizzard so not so trusting of forum reports)

GGG doesn't offer TECH support "for the moment" (been like this for several years now)....
Well if Vulcan no longer works for you, then you will to use DX11 or DX12.....

yea, dx12 is same boat, and dx11 wont even get past the logo intro before it crashes. have 0 idea wtf could even be the problem since NO other game is doing this
