Reasons to play Carrion Golems

Hi!

I´m looking for a 3.20 build and i was looking for a minion build. I play skeleton mages previous season and this leage i try Absolution (with terrible results xD maybe cause i dont know much things about this build) and carrion golems.

I fall in love with carrion golems, but I feel that you have to invest a lot of currency (which is not a problem, it's like in all builds) but when you invest all that currency, there are many other builds that do a lot more damage with the same or less investment, so I don't see why people should play it.

Then you have to know an infinite number of things that you must know like the AG stuff, which specters to use... and it does not compensate for everything you have to know, with the result in dps, since a Tornado shot, Lightning Stike, Lightning Conduit, for example , they give much better results (damage and mapping speed) than a carrion golems with the same investment.

So... other than "for fun", why else play a golem carrion?

Carrion golems are just worse stone golems to me.

If playing as elementalist, stone golem gives you insane hp regen and by stacking CDR they'd use smash skill but only rolling attack is the con compared to carrion golems. Since crit is introduced this league, stone golems has the potential to rely on crit for smash skill. Most players prefer carrion golem for combo attacks clearing and bossing wise.

i tried them last league but they were constantly dying to Archnemesis mobs....you need to invest a lot in keeping them alive

My problem is not my carrion dies. "The problem" that I see with the build is that the investment does not pay off in terms of results, compared to other builds. That's why I was looking for some reason why people play it.

Absolution has a similar cost and is much faster and more solid. And like absolution, many other builds.

people play golems and other minions because its a lazy playstyle. some people dont like to constantly press buttons to attack,with golems you just walk around while they kill things
