Unexplainable Damage from Uber Bosses

Hey there,

im playing a Fire Reap Chieftain this League and had some interesting findings while uberbossing.

The problem:

I can facetank the uber Shaper mechanics, but not a single other uber boss and dont understand why. Shaper balls from him and his clone: no problem. Shaper beam: no problem. Shaper slam: 25%hp loss, no problem. Any other uber boss deletes me with almost every move. Exarch, Eater, Maven, doesnt matter, 1-2 hits and im dead. Sure, every boss is different and deals different damage etc, but the difference in my tankyness varies so much from boss to boss. Best example is the uber uber elder fight:

Citing from the wiki the Shaper balls "Deals 5639 to 8458 Cold Damage" and the Elder ice projectiles "deals 5006 to 7509 Cold Damage". I dont get, why the lower DMG Spell does literaly 3-4 times more damage to me. The elder only hits me with 1-2 projectiles, while the shaper sends 10 straight into my face.
More projectiles, higher base dmg and same defences. I dont get why i can facetank the one and get 2 shot by the other...

To the build:

The core defense mechanic of the build is converting all your damage taken to fire and stack as much max fire res as possible to mitigate all damage typs. Im using "Tempered by War" (50% cold/lightning as fire), "Sublime Vision" (30% cold/lightning as fire) and a "Dawnbreaker" (20% cold/lightning/phys as fire).
So, i take 100% of cold and lightning as fire and got 90 max fire res. (Checked it in PoB)

i have the same situation. I made super tanky Fire Reap build that converts 100% all ele taken as fire damage and more than 90% phys as fire. 90% fire resistance. Even flask that gives almost 40% less fire damage taken. about 2.5k regen...And i get one or two tapped by Uber sirus die beam, eater beam and mass tentacles, exarchs fire balls and so on. Also UUelder does some weird hover over me and insta kills me when he lands...if im slowed i cant get out of there and die. But i can easily tank every Uber shaper attack, uber cortex no problem, i could also tank a load of simultaneous attacks from the Feared damage boosted bosses, even Atziris blasts. I know im not block capped and dont have suppression but it do i need every single defence layer capped to tank some ubers? Made this build specifically cause i am very bad at boss mechanics and wanted to have a bit forgiving fights but i cant even do that with all the tankiness :o

Also: IIRC there are videos on reddit of people facetanking Uber Exarch meteor phase so there may be something weird going on. Or you messed up somewhere.

Just my guess but Shaperballs do most of their damage because of elemental penetration. Their base damage is fairly low with 7-8k but they compensate for it by ignoring 25-40% of your resists making them very strong against anything that tries to tank them with cold resists and pitifully weak against "damage taken as" and other mechanics like spell suppression.
The other bosses probably just have way higher base damage and not so much in terms of pen. Iirc even regular Uber Elder does upwards 15k or something with his bigger projectiles. The Uber Uber version probably doubles that. Against 30k raw elemental damage your conversion does nothing and even with 90% res you'll still take 3k to the face and he shoots two of those parallel and if both hit you...
