Do you use third party programs?

I've seen some discussion saying that 90% of the community uses third party programs, and that the game is unplayeable without them, claiming that GGG is doing half the job they should do.

I wont say my opinion on the matter, Im just interested if these statements hold any water.

Im not counting the wiki of PoE as a third party program, mostly because its just the wiki.
Apparently third party programs are PoB , Awakened trade, neversink/filterblade, lut bot, chaosrecipe enhancer, and many others.

I think the wording here is quite dubious, lumping some ToS violating bots and programs in with community driven tools that are supplementary.

I genuinelly cant tell the difference, because I dont know what this programs are.
I didnt want to say in on the original post, because well, im the one making the question. If I say things like "Oh, I have no idea what this is" I might be showing a little bias.

If you want I can remake the question, and include just the Community Driven tools(whatever those may be)

Point is yes, the game is very difficult without 3rd party tools.

However you dont need illegal programs like flask macros, trade bots, auto-crafters, etc...

I think what you want to know is if GGG is outsourcing too much QoL to the community because it's cheaper and easier than doing it in-house.

Yes of course they are. It's not even close. There isnt even an ingame glossary of terms or functional dps tooltip. Youn dont need a poll for that, not imo.

Most players use overlays for checking prices, I honestly don't like them a lot.

yes GGG absolutely is but it's not exactly new either. Virtually every big MMO has a huge host of third party tools that they encourage the community to manage and update themselves. Trade lookup macros, lab helpers, PoB, and I'm going to even say Google translate when trading with Koreans are all pretty necessary. At a minimum I don't know how you'd manage without PoB

For the last few leagues that I've played in, I've used Yolomouse to give me a bright pink cursor that I never lose on screen now. I did this because it was explicitly approved. See,

most of ppl use POB for sure, but POB is not breaking the balance of the game. the biggest problem should be tradebot which is definitely a cheat and in fact making the trade market a shiiit.

While obviously there ARE players that use the overlay, it's disingenuous to state that 'most' do. You have no way of knowing that.

To the topic; all I use is pob. The overlay tool is just lazy, as is the one that reads your map mods and color codes them (I mean cmon lol).
