Malediction one shots me with BV on self but not vaal BV thrown???

Is anyone else suffering from unknown 1 shots from the malediction nem mod? in the last 2 days i've died 15+ times to 1 shotting myself to these mobs with malediction while 100% reflect immune and unsure of cause. Example of situation: I flamedash in and instantly die with the mob taking only 1 hit, I see no swing or reason mechanic should 1 shot me but it is only happening with malediction mod specifically.

Malediction - Nearby Enemies have Oppression, causing them to deal 30% less Damage, take 30% increased Damage and have 20% reduced Movement Speed.
