Dissolution of the flesh jewel and Dark Pact bug

Im killing myself using DP having 0% life reserved. Just randomly dieng when reaching 1hp with 0% reserved. Skill/Jewel is not working as intended, please take a look at it.

Sacrificed life does not count as damage.

Dissolution of the Flesh converts damage taken into a reservation. Dark Pact speficies that it sacrifices your life. As with many things in PoE, the wording is significant: sacrificed life is not damage taken, and so when you are on 1 life with no life reserved, you sacrifice that last bit of life and die.
However, this mechanic opens you up to some interesting synergies like taking Eternal Youth and Petrified Blood for a super strong build. Eternal Youth means that you get permanent 30% life regen which can't be turned off (since you don't 'take damage') and Petrified Blood basically gives you 40% more life, because you only take 60% of the damage from the hit. I have a video showcase of these interactions here if you are interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4uJ5rYn_NU&ab_channel=chakra Last edited by chakra#1485 on Sep 12, 2022, 9:29:29 PM

I know and that is exactly what i am doing, using eternal youth etc, but shouldnt DP not consumed the last 1 hp to not kill myself? Or is that exactly what is happening?

Wait, you're right - I just tested it and yeah you don't sacrifice that last 1 life.
If you're using PB then maybe what's going on is the life loss portion from PB, though to get past EY it would have to be a big hit and cause a noticeable life reservation. Just had a thought - since you're playing in Kalandra, do you have a ring or amulet that has 'Lose X Life when you Kill/Hit an enemy'? |
