Redesign Uber Sirus PLZ !!!

I'm a game designer, and a big fan of POE, spend around 4 years with the game, since Betrayal league. Since then, there are many bosses have been created. UE, Catarina, Sirus, Maven, Eater and Exarch, I love all of them, all of the boss designs, and in every league, my goal is always to defeat all of them at least one.

Until Uber Sirus appear...

Please don't get me wrong, normal Sirus is a good boss, with every deadly skill have clearly warning, easy understand mechanic, and still challenging enough. But Uber Sirus is another story.

Let's talk about the first thing of a basic boss fight design: A way to the boss.

For every boss fight, the first thing you have to do is meet the boss in the arena zone. It can be a clear path leading to the boss room, or a dangerous way filled with tons of monsters, which requires player with more skill and better preparation, but it must be easy to understand, clear in direction, because no one gonna design a boss fight which makes player confuse even when the battle hasn't started yet right?

And Uber Sirus is an example of how confusing the path to the boss can be. To trigger the boss fight, player must run across the black storm and stand right beneath Sirus. For normal Sirus, this is not a problem. But with Uber Sirus, these storms are freaking annoying. Not only about the number (too many), but the way these storms move is unpredictable too. Sometimes, they stay still, creating an impenetrable wall, sometimes they cover around player and kill them, and sometimes, they move with Uber Sirus, almost 100% blocking player from triggering boss fight, WTF??? How can we fight a boss, when the game doesn't even let us reach it?

The next basic thing of a boss fight is the arena zone. Every good boss fight throw player in a big enough arena zone, in there, they can attack, dodge, cast skill, etc, instead of staying still and letting the boss hit hard. The boss can use many skills to reduce the safe area in the arena zone, but they must leave enough space for player. UE, Maven, Eater and Exarch have this, and their Uber forms have this. Even normal Sirus have a kinda big arena zone is a circle with red border around Sirus.

But Uber Sirus say No. In the first 3 phases, after triggering the boss fight, a big black deadly storm will appear in the middle of the arena zone, reducing around 60% safe zone, and player can only move around it. Ok now the arena zone is kinda small, but that's not all. Uber Sirus can "randomly" cast some stars, and after they crash, will leave behind a deadly burning circle, lasting forever, keep reducing the safe zone to a few tiny areas, unpredictable too, of course.

Ok now that is ridiculous, not only it's a super small arena zone, but unpredictable too. Look at Uber Shaper, Uber UE and Uber Maven, they have some cold DOT ball to do the same as these burning circles, but player can control them by letting them follow, and even when these cold DOT balls explode, the arena is still big enough. These burning circle, are cannot be controlled, unpredictable. They let player struggle in these tiny safe zones, trying to dodge many deadly skills, so fucking cramped.

And to make things worse, Sirus can teleport to the opposite side of the arena zone, casting DIE beam to your face while you can't dodge, can't jump across the black storm in the middle of the arena zone, and jump out = trigger immortal phase. Terrible design!!!

The next thing is about Uber Sirus himself. While normal Sirus always give us warning sign before casting some deadly skills, Uber Sirus can throw star randomly, without a sign. Right before you see a red spotlight on the ground, the next millisecond, a star crash, deal ton of damage, maybe instant kill, and you lose 1 portal without understanding what happened. That spotlight is not counted as a sign, because player don't have enough time to react. Not any other Uber boss in POE can do that, not Uber Maven, Uber Shaper, Uber Eater and Exarch can do it, then why Uber Sirus can?

His casting speed is super fast too. While in the immortal phase, to trigger the boss fight, you must get close to him. And sometimes he can cast 2 continuous skills without delay. These skills have big AOE, making it really hard to trigger the boss fight.

And not to mention, the arena zone color are filled with black, dark red and definitely not bright at all. Combine with low camera angle, it is really hard to see where is the burning circle, where is the safe zone, and where is Sirus.

Ok let's move to the final thing, the final phase. For normal Sirus, you can trigger the final phase in a kinda clear zone, without any obstacle. But for Uber Sirus, he will 100% move into the middle of Oriath, where tons of burning circles are assigned, burning forever waiting for you to come. Not challenging enough? When the final phase starts, he once again can randomly throw stars to the arena zone without a sign, sometimes they land right on your head, and instantly kill you. If not, they create another deadly burning circle like before. In the previous phase, there can be 3-4 burning circles on the ground, but in the final phase, there can be over 10 "hard to see" deadly burning circles!!! It's freaking confusing.

Now, imagine that Sirus using his maze skill, 3 layer mazes block player from using teleport skills to escape. You must find the way out. But remember, these burning circles stay there, even in the maze. So the only choice you have is to take ton of damage passing these burning circles to escape or pray that you can block that super deadly meteor. What a stupid design!!!

Ok I know that many player can kill Uber Sirus already. I did it too. But that is not the point here. A good boss design will let player show their skill, not totally relies on equipment, may be challenging, but will never let player into confusing situations. And here, in Uber Sirus boss fight, we have many. These black storm moving randomly is confusing. The ridiculous tiny random safe zones in the arena is confusing. Sirus throwing random deadly skills without a sign is confusing. The visualization of the arena zone is unclear, and of course, confusing, and many many others. That is why for me, Uber Sirus boss fight is the worst boss design in POE.

Dear GGG, you guys can play Dark Soul, Blasphemous, Cuphead, and many great hardcore games out there, to learn how to design a super challenging, super hardcore but never confused boss fight, then please, fix Uber Sirus, once and for all.
