So whats the economic reset for standard league?
If you have ever played diablo 2 and experienced a ladder reset and than played d3, wow, or any other normel mmo you will instantly see that the ladder reset is great at controlling the economy. Inflation wasn't a big deal in d2 because every 6 months blizzard hits a big red butten and the economy resets. Without some sort of economic reset eventually only the rarest, most expensive items become in circulation, everyone already has the mid and low tier stuff so they never sell. Bottem line is economic resets are ESSENTIAL to a strong economy.
Hardcore mode already has an economic reset, the same one that real life has, its called dying. Eventually every player will die and the economy is reset a little. Softcore mode has no such reset. We are seeing the effect of that now, the value of low level currencies is plummeting and no one wants to buy them. This will only get worst over time |

Default is the trash can of all leagues, it was never meant to have a good economy.
There will probably be temporary leagues that lasts for months later on. These will flush into default and new ones will be created. This will effectively be a "reset". |
