annihilating light resistance reduce
hello guys.
so im trying to figure something out. i have this: ![]() and wanted to use it for a test because of the resistances so my resistances are as follows: ![]() but after i equip it my resistances go down to this: ![]() now im pretty confused because i had overcap resistances so after equipping the staff it should look like this instead: Fire:165-61=75(104) Cold:121-61=60 Lightning:128-61=67 is this staff bugged? reduce is multiply
if flat minus is using - sign This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. About the username: Did you know Kowloon Gundam is made in Neo Hong Kong?

so how can i calculate the reduced resistance if its not - ?

Take 61% out of how much total res you have. It has to explicitly say - to resists to work the way you are thinking. Examples being thread of hope or melding of the flesh.
So for your fire resist do 165 x .61 = 100 and then subtract that 100 from 165 which gives you (rounded down since there are some decimals involved the real calculation) 64% fire res. Cold res is 121 x .61 = 73 and 121-73 = 47 Lightning res is 128 x .61 = 78 and 128-78 = 50, but is rounded down to 49 Last edited by gladiatorpie#3317 on Sep 5, 2022, 5:25:54 PM

" do math easier 61% reduced is the same as multiplying by .39 fire resist 165 x .39 = 64 no additional step required. |

I figured he would understand better showing all the steps using 61% as he didnt seem to know how the calculation worked at all.
If you know whats going on yes that is the easier way to calculate it. |

The wording is a little bit confusing, but normal Resistance rolls just say "+X% to X Resistance". Since the staff doesn't say "-X to all Resistances" and instead "X% REDUCED Resistances", it's a multiplier and not a flat negative.
As others have mentioned, with 61% reduced you effectively have 100-61 = 39% of your resistances left over, giving you (for example) 165 x .39 = 64 fire resistance left over. |

As others have mentioned, you just multiply your resistances by 0.39 (in your case).
To achieve 75% resists with a 61% annihilating light you would need at least 193% uncapped elemental resist. |

the game is simply complex that you really need to learn it
for res all res and then the Kitava penalty, times the sum of all reduce and increase values, and then times every single "more " , "less" values This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. About the username: Did you know Kowloon Gundam is made in Neo Hong Kong?
