Harbingers are now terrible / Remove Shards
Harbingers were good in Ritual league where you could juice their drops with watchstones
Harbinger drops were nerfed as a result Watchstones are removed Now they drop nothing on a strict loot filter but with the new Archnemesis mods they are almost as dangerous as Essence monsters I feel like even 4 points into 1 additional harbinger isn't worth it since it just adds more difficulty for no gain Havent tried the beachhead but i assume its bad REMOVE THE SHARDS DROPPING just drop orbs instead remove trans, alt, alch, binding, horizon, chaos shards only keep ancient and exalt and {mirror shards} You might as well remove all of the lower shards Make it so vendoring blue items will give you always a transmutation orb vendoring rares gives you alteration orb vendoring rings and amulets gives you alchemy orb vendoring unique gives you alteration and alchemy orb also remove scroll fragments and maybe even scroll of wisdom just make it so that picking up an item will auto identify it Need more brains, exile? Bad proposal but was initially not going to post this.
Identification of items make sure that lootfilters cant auto-track items with certain stats. There is a good reason why this is in place and it also makes sure the lazy people don't get a cut of that pie. Also I am sure GGG's internal mathematical models require vendors only giving alt and alch shards. If they would start giving full alt and alch orbs, there would be a huge surplus of those and that is not warranted although such a thing is always a welcome addition to the lazy gamer. You don't need to remove shards to improve harbingers. Just have the loot not be garbage. I used to get an explosion of shards before the league dropped. After the league I get like 2-3 drops. The quantity nerf just destroyed the drops (to make no mention of the ex/divine change, for which there was no compensation).

The thing with Harbinger (main drawback) is that it converts all the loot into currency shards which are quite worthless. You would run Harbinger nodes because they frequently dropped Exalted Shards and with mid-league rates of ca. 170c:1ex even a single exalted shard was significant value. Sometimes you'd get 2, 3, or even 5+. Nowadays exalted shard isn't even worth a single chaos orb.
Remove this conversion please. Main appeal of Harbinger should be a crapton of Rare Monsters it spawns. After you complete such an encounter you should be rewarded with a lootsplosion of all those rare monsters loot you've killed. I spent 3 minutes killing massive number of rares in Delve Harbinger node. It was crazy, like 200 rare monsters spawned, many of them with 3 modifiers, degen zones, chasing balls. I had to fight for survival. And at the end I was awarded 16 chaos shards and 3 ancient shards. Fuck this lol. Harbi's only value was in budget way to gather exalted shards.
Now since Exalts are worthless, Harbis are major candidate to be removed if not reworked. I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. I am individual, not a representative of the community.
I am not speaking on behalf of someone else and I don't get offended by things that have nothing to do with me. 3.13 was the golden age. |
