No eater of worlds on map device

Hello, as other posts have mentioned, I have unlocked maven and searing exarch influence on my map device but no eater of worlds.

In my case, I have paid for boss completion to get the atlas stone without first having gotten the eater of worlds item/orb for my map device, and some people pointed out that I might have bugged it.

Any tips on how to fix this? What should I do? Do I need to make a new character?
