Mastermind of Discord with totem

I'm using totem with elementalist, I have Elemental Equilibrium but I don't get the mana regem from Mastermind Discord, does the mana regem go to the totem or does the totem not apply?

Totem will not give you regeneration, for this you must apply the exposure yourself

totem in this case its own entity, you will need to inflicct exposure yourself

my big doubt is if the totem also activates Mastermind Discord in addition to EE
