+ lvl 1 minion gem helmet vendor recipe not working?

Am I an idiot, or is it bugged somehow?

All the old guides say "of Animation", but im not getting that from the flask + transmute + bone spirit shield. Trying to trade life flask "of novice" that i AM getting + magic helmet + alteration.

Ive crafted this in previous leagues using the same guides so either my brain is completely fried now or the recipe is bugged. Anyone else had problems with this?

2 or more quality Skill gems with a combined total of 40% quality & the Minion tag
