How to perform a basic Item Comparison? Solved!
When I press Alt a bunch of extra information is shown which makes it much harder to focus on the mods. How do I view the info of the inventory item and equipped item without that extra info appearing?
I want to compare without showing value ranges nor technical names for mod tiers. https://imgur.com/a/oo2XQwP I'd like it to continue looking like the left when holding Alt or Ctrl Alt. Edit: Solution is to hold Ctrl first, and then while holding Ctrl hold Alt. Hold Ctrl and then hold Alt.
I also find it difficult to compare items when the additional information is shown. Last edited by SabreWolfy#5106 on Aug 22, 2022, 9:43:26 AM

" That's not what I mean, I want to compare without showing value ranges nor technical names for mod tiers. That shit is only useful if you're serious about crafting and is a shit load of distracting noise when you aren't focusing on that. It's especially annoying that value ranges aren't separated from the actual value with a space, and that the ordering of mods differs depending on if you are or aren't comparing. I'm not in game at the moment, so can't test, but does Alt still show the extra info if you have unchecked "show advanced mod descriptions" in the settings?

"That option was removed and from the looks of it, it's always-enabled now. I don't know why they removed the ability to turn it off, they just needed to make it a key combination instead of a toggle setting... and then make all methods of performing an item comparison rebindable in the keyboard input settings (so you can then redefine which one you wanted to occur when holding Alt, Ctrl Alt or whatever the heck you wanted). Edit: I guess they did make it a key combination, they just need to make it rebindable now. I edited my original post to better clarify what I'm after. " Hold Ctrl, then while still holding Ctrl, hold Alt. Gives this (mouse is on white ring in inventory): ![]() Last edited by SabreWolfy#5106 on Aug 22, 2022, 1:41:55 PM

" Oooh, okay. That works. My issue was an order of operations type, I was pressing Alt first and then Ctrl because Ctrl alone doesn't do anything. Would be nice if these key bindings could be rebound, so I can just make Alt alone do this. I guess I can use something like Autohotkey to facilitate this desire.
