Soul Mantle still ok or useless? Any defense items for totems?

I'm trying to make a tanky totem build hybrid build.

How do I know if my totems res is capped, wheres pob show totem ress?

Is Soul Mantle still worth it? For the 50% to totem life or is it useless now that is doesn't have +1 totem & gives low es rates? I am using spell totems so soul mantle does save a socket. Still it has low es & may be better body armor.

Other than skill tree passives or a jewel, any items you suggest for tankier totems? Thanks.

& is +1 totem on shield tough to figure out how to do myself? Easy to add to any shield? It seems like their is only a few rare shields that have +1 totem, are these shields endgame viable? Less I make the shield thy'self.

Antique Greaves. not sure if its good for a physical build not sure if the fire stacks with fire passives or just totem hp, tho may try for totem life

Usually totems have enough life to survive most things. If you start playing the build and find that they're dying enough to make it annoying, then you could consider investing into some more stats for them.

Soul Mantle gives you some nice damage when used in conjunction with Self-Flagellation. It also gives you an extra link because spell totem support is built in. However, this might not be worth it for your build, considering the investment into reduced curse effect that is required, and the possibility of alternate mods on your chest.
