Kernellbase.dll game crashing constantly
The game keeps crashing every 1-30 minutes with this error in the event viewer. I'm at my wits end trying to figure out what is causing it and how to fix it. I've reinstalled windows, drivers, tried registry edits, every solution that I have seen in every forum. Nothing works! Every forum just has people listing some random potential solutions then the thread dies, even ones with GGG members don't really come to a definite solution just get closed out. There are posts going back years for this issue and so far the only thing that apparently helps is just quitting the game.

" Make sure your video drivers are up to date. try this --> 1. Run packcheck.exe as "an administrator", 2. Delete the local PoE cache files here --> C:\Users\"your windows account name"\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile\ 3. Now start PoE again as "an administrator". When at the login screen, select options. 4. Now set texture to MEDIUM and Sound channels to low. 5. Login to the game 6. Remove ALL MTX from gear and gems. 7. Start playing and see if the problem is solved. Depending if you are using DX11, Vulcan or DX12 then try changing betweem them..... |

nvlddmkm is part of your graphics driver. try an older or newer version which doesn't bug out.
in older windows versions you would have gotten a bluescreen in this case cause the graphics driver wasn't running in the user space at those glorious old times. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

+1 to this error
Note, i have had crashes since 24h2 was forced onto machine, this is now a brand new clean install of win11 24h2 from a complete wipe of all drives, fresh install poe almost first program run, i increased my pagefile and actually got a a kernel error instead of a complete system freeze. rolling back drivers, and all that stuff does nothing. its straight up an issue with 24h2, and maybe amd?, but seeing as win11 24h2big point is preventing kernel access points ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Faulting application name: PathOfExileSteam.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x674f711e Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 10.0.26100.2454, time stamp: 0x398a1cce Exception code: 0xe0000001 Fault offset: 0x00000000000c837a Faulting process id: 0x1278 Faulting application start time: 0x1DB47DDA1751D17 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Path of Exile\PathOfExileSteam.exe Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNELBASE.dll Report Id: 5ff3f663-cde3-447d-b478-4120cc4442d5 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: |
