Minimum - Maximum Charges

With the changes to Grand Spectrum, I am curious about how minimum charges influence maximum charges. If you ended up with 3 power charge grand spectrum, do you simply get 9 charges? Or does your build needs to have room for 9 Power Charges in the first place? Moreover, if you did have 9 minimum charges and got +1 max, do you end up with 10 maximum charges?

Thanks!

You have to have the maximum charges for the minimum to fill them. Otherwise it would be kinda busted, or no?

They dont stack (you wont get 10 charges with 1 maximum and 9 minimum) but IIRC you can go over limit of your max with min. If your default max is 3, and you have 4 min, you will have 4 charges at all time.
Didnt test it, so someone needs to cinfirm the going over cap part.

that last part is wrong

if your max is 3, your MAX IS THREE. you can never have more than your max charges.
If thats the case I cant see anyone using new grand spectrums. If you have 9 max charges, you have way to generate them as well.
Another vendor trash I guess.
Maximum charges always override minimum charges.
Thanks for all the fish!

They are still pretty good and will be anything but vendor trash. For 6 passive points you can get 15% max life, 12% more damage, 12% attack and cast speed, and 120% icreased critical strike chance. It might not be as good as your god tier 4 perfect roll jewels but it will be a great mid budget option.

Or mix and match if you want different charges or ailment avoidance or whatnot

I didnt think about mixing them, for some reason I thought only about using same 3.
i would happily use

2x life grand spectrum
1x endurance gs

thats 3 permanent endurance charges + 30% max life, for 3 jewel slots. definitely fine.

Thanks, everyone!

Sounds about right. Before, we didn't have many ways to get more than 3 minimum charges, which is why I never considered this problem. I think the best way will be to combine them to have +3 of every charge, or . The cost is VERY low for the benefit in almost every build. If you think about it, each grand spectrum can become a gem with +5% life, +4 more damage, 4%cast/attack speed and +40% crit chance, which I think is very good. As someone suggested, 6 passive points for 15% life, 12 more damage, 12% cast/attack speed and 120% crit chance is very good.
