Mirrored items
Thesis:
The disadvantages with mirrored items seem to become too vast at this point. Suggestion: With all the added content I suggest to limit the unchangeble part of mirrored items to explicit, implicit and sockets of item only. Explanation: That means that mirrored items should from now on get the potential to do all the other changes, which they cannot perform now. This includes - Labyrinth enchants - Blight mods - Quality of rings/amulets/belts ... Reasoning: - QOL - Fun of playing the game instead of punishments - it makes sense ... When mirrors were introduced none of the above was available. Mirrored item now are a burden to the owner due to the fact that they don't even allow minor changes. It is majorly QOL to be able to change the labyrinth enchant on a helmet you might want to use for another build instead of just one build. To some extent it should be that way, but as is now it feels too much of a burden that a mirrored item offers no flexibility at all while the game's content moved into that direction. Especially mirror items which got replaced by new BIS could get some attention this way.
Also with new mirror items I dont see the reason anymore why to prevent players to waste time on changing labyrinth enchantment or change quality and allocation of mirrored rings/amulets. Mirrors were invented in a time when PoE barely had any content. It needs some adaptions now with all the content added. Such a change makes it easier for players to compensate for changes that GGG does to itemization without becoming frustrated, hence allow GGG to be a bit more free with changes without fucking over everyone fully cause players then with the minor adjustments can adapt at least a bit. The original promise of PoE was to never create layers of new content above the old content like many other games do. You don't stick to it. So why sticking to the original purpose of mirrors which came with that promise? Last edited by LSN#3878 on Aug 19, 2022, 12:37:15 AM
