Ancient Orb Value

The Divine Orb vs Exalted Orb debate has been beaten to death, so no reason to beat that dead horse more. But I have derived at least one thing from the whole thing: Harbingers are collateral damage and represent too much cost for what they offer now in the Atlas Tree. I believe less people will take Harbinger as a result which will have some downstream effects. I think Harbinger provides the single most effective way to get Orbs of Annulment and Ancient Orbs and as a result of that, believe both of these currencies will go up in value because of the limited supply.

I think Ancient Orbs have the potential to be quite a bit more valuable as a result. Maybe Harbinger may still survive partially because of the increased value?
Thanks for all the fish!

Interesting take. There will be more valuable uniques, so there will be more valuable intermediate results when chasing something big. Especially if well rolled.

Ancient Orbs might go up in value quite a bit, which would mean harb would not be as worthless as I thought.

Then again there are many, many sources in the game that drop uniques that I think are often set aside (like the boxes that give uniques in Heist). And it's still possible to push increased rarity MF quite high. I wonder where the threshold will be for it to be worth it to use ancient orbs commonly, other than late league meme shenanigans.

Did you try turning it off and on again?

Yeah, I don't think it will skyrocket but I expect the supply will be notably less with the demand being about the same as any other league. 30C Ancient Orbs have happened in the past. Maybe higher this go?
Thanks for all the fish!
Maybe I'm wrong, but if I'm not mistaken, the vast majority of ancient orbs are for belt rolls. People looking to hit that MB or HH.

Well now HH is basically dead, or at least not even remotely what it was worth, and if it's just MB, I think there are better ways to get it than smashing ancient orbs. (Imo)

I just think Garbinger isnt worth the points.

If you care only about making as much currency as possible, you shouldnt do maps in the first place. Heist is much better for that.

Headhunter is still in the 50-75ex range depending on when you sell it. It's still pretty high, but I think most Ancient Orbs will go toward Magebane for sure.

Ancient Orbs this league were pretty steady in the 15-20c range this league. Since I hypothesize they will be more scarce, and nothing happened to change the demand that I can think of, I think their value will be higher than that.
Thanks for all the fish!
Headhunter price might drop again. There will be way less rares on the maps now, which means less stacks for you as well.

Yes, that is definitely going to drive demand down more. I wonder how the 5-ways will feel with the change.
Thanks for all the fish!
sure it will go up but i don't think it will go up by that much tbh.
cause if will go up people would still use harbinger to farm that because some people like harbingers.
3.26 when?
