Enfeeble and Curse Effectiveness

https://youtu.be/riH1dcRukjs?t=1114

I was a bit perturbed by this YouTuber's phrasing of "there might be a bug in the game that allows you to stack enough curse effectiveness to cause Enfeeble to make normal and magic monsters deal 100% less damage."

I'm uncertain if this is a "clever use of game mechanics" or not, but the creator's decision to say "if you know you know, don't snitch" in a later video made me feel compelled to ask. I know getting that much curse effectiveness isn't easy but I've seen way tougher things to invest in get the axe for trivializing content.

Already a bug report about this.

Frankly, if a streamer said that in a later vid, then they aren't much of a person to even be worth watching. Exploits and things of the same ilk deserved to be squashed.

It was something that someone in my Discord linked, not someone I follow. I do wholeheartedly agree.
I don't even want to know, but it should be easy enough for GGG to impose a cap on it. I also doubt it would be relevant since the cost would likely be comparable to a build that 1 shots everything 3 screens over or some such nonsense.

Oh wait, I forgot in PoE every build is trash unless it can 2 min clear fully juiced T16 maps on a 1c budget.

Enfeeble has a cap of 75% curse effectiveness. So if people are getting enfeeble to the point where mobs deal 0 damage it is an exploit.

No worries mate. I was just generally making a statement about said YT'er. Also, just letting you know as well that it's in the bug forum and also something I emailed GGG about to make sure that they know that the cap for enfeeble is being "broken".

The line between 'exploit' and 'clever use of game mechanics/bug abuse' is a very thin one. In this case it seems like a bug (cap not being applied correctly), and so just stacking curse effect will get you to 100% damage reduction.

You kind of are exploiting the bug if you use it, but if GGG accidentally changed the cap then it could be considered as 'intended', and not abuse at all. As I said, it's a pretty thin line, but I don't believe would get banned for it.
