why dont they increase currency stack size already?

I dont see any downsides to this? it is annoying that you gotta do multiple trades becuz 600c is max in one trade it made sense 8 years ago when everyone were poor and currency barely droped but its 2022 theres literally no downsides to increasing currency stack size? or GGG think people are having fun doing multiple trades becuz of little currency stack

the downside is

people without a currency tab wont feel *as* pressured to buy tabs, to hold all their currency.
Honestly, at this point even Chaos going to 20 stack size would be amazing.

Other than Chaos probably the only other currency stack size that would really make me happy would be portal and wisdom scroll size, no meme.

pretty sure people would still buy currency tab for currencies becuz it just looks pretty to hold currency in your special tab

portal and wisdom shouldn even be scrolls. they should just be buttons on the UI.

the people that actually spend money, a currency tab is basically priority. the people on the fence about spending money, the currency crunch is a big motivator (i was there once)

Create problems and then sell the solution to your customers.
Because for some reason GGG is still nostalgic about the "old school" days. Someone should tell them that not all the "features" in "old school" games were actually that good.

Scrolls of wisdom, and portal scrolls are outdated......way outdated.
And speaking of stack size, it's directly related to the other "old school" feature: inventory management. GGG somehow still holds on to the weird inventory tetris bullshit. Less stack size, the more you can play inventory tetris.

Honestly now: just give us a portal button, let drops drop identified, or have another button for it (whatever), and also give us a damn auto sort button for the inventory. If other modern ARPGs can do it, so can GGG.

Yeah "friction" is fine, but it should not always steal from QoL.

Like we could have portal button with its own inventory slot for portal scrolls, we would still need to find pick or trade for portal scrolls but suddenly it would take much less from QoL while keeping friction of obtaining the scrolls meaning the value of them would not change.

Portal gems break your whole build if they are on swap (x) and there is simply no space for them in main build (minions already use 2x empty ring just to be able to cast basic spells, we would need rings with 3 separate unlinked slots AND curse on hit AND corrupted shield that grants aura just to be able to fit all this crap like portal gem in them)

Another option would be portal gem, but socketing it in to special new portal slot where no other item can go.

I can agree with you on just being part of the UI, however, even though I would prefer it as you suggested, I can at least see why they want it this way. From all the feel the weight jokes to D2 stuff.

Now, welcome to my TED talk, where the rest of this post will be coming from my rectum.

As for the being on the fence part, I'm sort of in the middle. I honestly do not think that GGG is looking for the quick prey upon the new player dollars(I'm not trying to twist your words, I know that is not what you meant). I think GGG is interested in hooking someone for long periods of time, if not life. They want the person who's coming back for a month or so, four times a year.

I kind of get the on the fence thing, because there was a point I decided I didn't want to be free to play anymore either, but if you are attracted to this game I believe outside of small cases, you're going to spend some money.

The people who don't have a currency stash tab are the same people in real life that don't have a wallet, but instead carry around a ball of money in their pocket. I believe how we are attracted to this game, it actually deters those type of people from ever wanting to play it as anything other than a trial of a free game.

All of this is to say you are right, buying a currency tab is basically a priority, but I don't think they are selling them to anyone other than the people that are sticking around for years.

My irl friend played for around 3 days and bought the currency tab. (he did totems with lightning spell, I forgot which one exactly)
many such cases

so maybe you do not feel like that, but from what i've seen it does sell very well to newbies.

I can not even imagine playing more than 1 league without currency and map tab. Just maps themselves would fill all your 24 characters after 2 weeks they mercilessly do not stack in any way shape or form and drop a lot. They also sell well and can be upgraded thru recipe in to items often worth over 30chaos each so you ideally would want to pick them up even after u out-tier them with higher tier sustain.
