Introducing COLOR BLIND Friend to Game , Please Help if Possible
Hello,
I have a friend who is color blind that I want to introduce to the game this league. We are worried his color blindness, particularly the Red / Green colorblind , will cause issue identifying color in item sockets. This might make identifying usable gear for his gems difficult , if not impossible. Is there a way to resolve, any kind of mod or advanced setting I may be overlooking? If not, perhaps a solution would be to add this in the future, an idea I had was having the option of making item sockets have a little bit of a shape instead of all being a circle, square sockets could be str, triangle agi, etc. Thanks! There is a setting in game which changes the sockets to have different marks around them. Gimme a minute to dig around and find it for you.
Edit: Once in game, hit escape, options, UI, scroll down to items. Always show sockets is a good idea, Socket notches change to Large Pattern. This gives the different sockets their own unique "notches" based on what color that they are. Also note: There is a filter floating around I believe in the Gameplay help forum that is specifically designed for color blind people. I don't have a link to it atm, sorry.
Edit: This may help with finding a loot filter: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Color+blind+loot+filter+POE "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots.
