Path of Exile's Story

I recently went for the All Ears challenge on steam. For those that do not know, that is where you listen to 484 dialogs from various characters throughout the campaign. My first attempt ended up rather upsetting as you can see from the picture.

I did want to talk about the campaign story/lore though. I had a pretty OK idea about the lore of POE since I've watched a decent number of kittencatnoodle's lore break down videos, but actually listening to all the lore was another story entirely. There is a lot of substance in this game, in more ways than one, and the story and lore is no exception. While even after listening to all the dialog there are things I'd get wrong about if asked, I have a pretty firm understanding of it as a whole now, and a large appreciation of it.

I guess I just wanted to give feedback that the story is great. Just learning about the characters has made me view them differently, more fondly.

For example, did you know that Lilly aside from selling gems and saying "time and tide wait for no man" is actually quite the scallywag who shacked up with Tarkleigh(act 1/6 dude) but dropped him when she thought he was going to ask her about having children with her. A woman who loves to recount stories of her granddad Weylam, and who would have shared more time with him had Weylam's own sister, Lussi, not betrayed him and left him on a deserted island so that she could become the captain of the Brinerots. There are tons of interactions like this between characters in the game, I just never knew it was fleshed out as well as it is with the character development and world building.

If you've got the time, run through the campaign once and listen to all the dialog. It's pretty interesting, and once PoE 2 comes out we get to sink our teeth into another story that has had far more time to develop.

I had to do it on another character, but I did end up getting All Ears

Congrats!
Valid Feedback. I also went for the Achievement some weeks ago, made a brandnew Char in Std and spent lots of time to read all the stuff and dig into the lore.
Loved it <3!
Still have to beat Kitava for the last 3 dialoges (481/484), kinda afraid of bc of lack for single target damage (post in another thread).
Just do it! And keep it simple -
Things will become complicated by itself.

Are you in hardcore? I guess you would be if you are worried about damage. You're so close, go get your last three lores.
Thank you very much for the heads-up!

i did it!

No, not in HC, but 've been still worried about Argus and Izaro, then it turned out to be not really a problem.

E: now i have to find the 7 remaining Vaal side areas (No stone unturned).

Nice dude.

The vaal side areas took me a little while, but they were still faster than the library books.
