Well there is an appeal ban process where you can write your appeal.
Then the account investigation department will look at that and reply the final decission to you after.

In regards to helping friends then normally if you all are in the same guild, play together and share things together that should be alright.
However entire guilds have been banned because GGG tracked RMT to one/several persons and the rest benefitted from it.

Sharing currency between friends , it's not illegal...My currency and can give it to whomever I want.

Unless I trade currency on league for currency on standard, or rmt it for the benefit of all persons.

So pretty sure you got banned for either scamming or RMT ing.

P.S I am sure you say that you have no will to play the game anymore or get unbanned but I am sure as hell you replied to the GGG admin message like the second you saw it.

Wonder how it is possible to "investigate" something like RMT at all. Unless both suspects are idiots and were discussing RMT specifically via in-game chat, how could someone prove that some one-way biased trade isn't simply a gift between friends?

- No communication between those two before? not a proof, I have a friend who quit PoE many years ago, and some time ago he logged in to give much of his old stuff to me, as he wasn't playing. When he came back to playing later, I gave him his stuff back. In both cases, we barely used in-game chat. Started speaking after it of course, as we were now both playing, but with this logic we would have been already banned by then, guess we were really lucky :)

- Login to account from unusual place for this trade? BS, people use VPN all the time for various reasons.

- Discussing general "value" of items during trade? not a proof, this is all open to interpretation.

- Hyper active account suddenly gives away his most valuable gear? not a proof, maybe he decided to leave PoE (or is this considered impossible?:)

- Inactive account suddenly gets valuable gear? same as above.

- Specific time delays before accepting trade? BS.

- account "behavior patterns" being always logged by telemetry? Extremely prone to errors, banning people on the basis of that would be BS. Hope I am not getting nearly banned each time I decide to try another character and asking some item from friend without using in-game chat for it.

Would be very interesting to learn about daily work of those Account Investigators.
