Confused about Ghost Dance

So I'm working on a low life high ES occultist build and it was recommended on the guide to take that node but when I did it didn't let my shield regenerate even though I have 6.8k ES with the node on the shield is like barely visible and I die fast. After having no idea what the problem was for a while I turned the node off and my ES showed up... not sure how they're supposed to work together

The node makes it so you cannot recover energy shield to above evasion rating.

So with 6.8k ES you need 6.8K evasion to always be at max energy shield. Sounds like you cut out grace aura or something from the build.

I see. The guide never mentioned that aura and I've pretty much followed everything minus missing 9 points to lv 100 and cluster set-up but idk if that's part of the problem

Well guides arent always perfect. Id ask the build creator about it. He might have left the node in there by accident when the build used to run grace or had higher evasion.

Yep I figured it out. The guide I was following was just bad on a lot of its info. I found a better one and happy with the build now.
