Strike Skill drastic damage imbalance

Hello,

Lightning Strike and Smite can hit twice on a single target (with at least 1 additional strike target) because their secondary effect triggers even when not hitting a target. This allows these skills to compete with the damage of Spell skills and Bow skills. The individual target gets hit by the strike from the additional target and the projectile/area damage from the original character model strike.

I believe all other Strike skills require some compensation for not benefitting from this double hitting mechanic. (Hydrosphere filled this roll for a couple patches before the nerf. This allowed skills like glacial hammer to have competitive damage in combination with the built in melee splash jewel (Jewel now removed, so damage now 2 times less and no clear). I understand Hydrosphere was too strong with the already double hitting skills but now some compensation is needed for all the other strike skills to have competitive damage.

Thank You

Smite infact cannot hit the same target twice in a single target scenario. Lightning Strike can though (with the right spacing) thats why its the most used Strike skill which highlights an important point. Little number buffs to underperforming Strike Skills could make the difference (just in case a dev reads this).

And yeah the double nerf to meme Glacial Hammer via threahold jewel and hydrosphere made it into unviable territor for league gameplay.

For lightning strike its not exactly a free thing, its something that takes practice and skill. Especially if you're playing berserker with massive movespeed.

Also, why are you complaining there are a couple of viable strike skills, just play them if they're good and enjoy yourself. Other strike skills are good too, just maybe not as strong in certain scenarios.
