How does exposure and penetration combine its effects?

Lets say I have 100% of cold penetration and I apply 20% of cold exposure. How will this affect the monster?

Penetration and Exposure work basically the same way, but Pen only works with hits while Exposure works with both DoTs and hits. See here for more info: https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Resistance_penetration https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Exposure
In the specific case of 100% Pen and 20% Exposure, I will use Shaper as an example. He has 50% Resistance, so after Pen and Exposure is applied, he will have -70% Resistance. |
