Intimidating cry does not exert properly

My Double Strike skill does not get exerted by Intimidating Cry when it is linked to the Multistrike Support Gem, the 2 Exerted Attacks do not get consumed. Only once i remove Multistrike do the charges get used up.

Multistrike supported skills cannot be exerted.

Alright but why? when melee attack skills are already one of the worst skills to play this is just limiting their power because of even more, the gem says "Attacks which repeat cannot be exerted" yet the first hit of a skill supported by multistrike is the original attack, it is not repeated yet, only the 2 attacks after are repeated. Yet the first attack can still not be exerted? Sorry but I call that lazy programming.

Call it whatever you want to, this isn't a bug. You want something changed go post in feedback.
