Bug with Dannig in Expedition

After beating Olroth in Bluffs expedition, Dannig makes his way to the exit of the boss area, but never properly leaves. His model disappears but I believe he's still there since his health bar is still visible to me (in the screenshot you can see it between the Bluffs exit and my own health bar). This makes the quest to "Return to Dannig to hear a translation of the Ancient Kalguuran text you found" impossible to complete since he's disappeared.

Going back to the hideout and talking to him there does not complete the quest since it is a quest in a separate area, it just initiates a different chat interaction.

I have tried: leaving the map completely, back to the hideout, and returning; entering the "Sandy Vestige" where you find the text and returning; talking to Dannig in the hideout.

the lost expedition is a multi step quest, there are a bunch of texts, you don't have to talk to dannig for the quest to actually complete once you discover all the texts.

all that it does is slowly add dialogue options to dannig until you get them all.
