Does "Time Dilation" work correctly?
|
I took "Time dilation" on my atlas tree since it gives double the time from kills in incursions.
I also took this last league and the result was I ended most incursion with about a 1 minute left on the time. This league I'm playing the same build, got the same damage, but this time I am unable to clear most incursions. I sometimes even fail to kill the architect. So did the node break this league? Or is this another side effect of AN? Last bumped on Jun 16, 2022, 9:18:24 AM

Could be a combination of a couple factors, and only indirectly affected by Time Dilation. AN made rares and magics more tanky compared to last league, which would affect things. It might also be partly to do with Eldritch Altar mods, which were buffed and might be making things a little harder.

Whether the chance for everything to spawn as magic/rare procs makes a big difference as well. White mobs are about worthless for increasing your time no matter what, but if your clearspeed against all the buffed magic/rare mobs isn't great, they can really slow you down.
This also makes the map tiers you're running important. Higher map tiers have higher life mobs to start with, along with more potential for more AN mods stacking up. Map mods matter, too. You definitely want to be careful not to gimp yourself too much with Altar mods, either. Taking downsides that push enemy ele res can slow down an ele build quite a bit in there. Giving them life as ES can be really bad, especially if you're running a map that also boosts their life (edit: though not 100% certain on if this one actually does anything in Incursions, as I avoid that mod altogether no matter what). And so on. It's a good idea to get familiar with which AN/altar mods can slow you down too much, and bypass them if needed to quickly get to the Architect you want to kill. Same goes for if just about everything between you and the Architect is white. Hit him ASAP, and hope that enough of the white mobs follow you over that you can add a little bit to your timer while you're taking him down. Then work on getting as much other stuff cleared as you can once he's dead. Basically, you might just have to work a bit to strategize and find a better balance if you're not running a build that can instantly nuke everything you see. Last few leagues were pretty easy to just casually full clear Incursions from the Atlas passives alone, but it can definitely take some adjustments in 3.18. I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German. Last edited by aggromagnet#5565 on Jun 13, 2022, 9:41:23 PM

I had not any altars active (I still have not fully cleared all maps and stuff).
And it was on a blue map, with the 2 mods - Monster can not be cursed (but I do not use curses) - Players chance to hit is lowered (but I play a minion build, so that should not affect anything?) I'm guessing that indeed the AN tags gives magic and rare monsters a bigger health boost then the old magic and rare monsters. I'm guessing this is GGG's way of saying "go away, you casual player who does not know what a meta build is". |
