Uber Shaper Insta-Kill

I was trying to kill Uber Shaper and I got killed as soon as I got into the portal 3 times after the first portal phase.
That's 3 portals that I lost because of this. My build is not the tankiest so I know I can get killed easily, but the Shaper was talking! How did I get killed 3 consecutive times if he didn't even start the fight?

Also, the ball phase is ridiculous, I could understand if you made Zana's shield smaller or if you had to follow her around, but that bullet hell of a phase where just 1 hit can kill you is ridiculous. Most non-meta builds will get killed every time there's a ball phase.
I don't know if I'm just doing it wrong, and I would appreciate it if you could point it out if I am. I know it's an Uber Boss and stuff, but still annoying af.

There's degen on the ground where you are standing. I know because a similar thing happened to me. The key is to dash immediately upon entering (because the grace period is also really small).

For the ball phase, if you start in the lower right and only move as the balls get close to you, it is possible to completely avoid getting hit. Not that difficult with some practice actually.

Yeah, my first Uber Shaper made me lose all 6 portals from trying to get protection from Zana's shield which always got me killed by the bullet hell.

As soon as Shaper starts his bullet hell, I rush over to the end of the map and try to avoid as many as possible and ignore Zana. My build has enough regen and resistance to survive multiple purple balls though, but if I'm unlucky enough; then, I usually die mainly once or twice from phase 2 and 3 bullet hell.

As a zDPS, these Uber fights are not forgiving towards builds that don't demolish them insanely quickly.

Sorry you lost 3 portals as soon as you got in, I'd be pretty tilted in an Uber fight if that happened. Be careful of Shaper's double doppelgangers, I'm not 100% sure, but they might already be summoned when entering, so they start attacking you immediately even if he is talking.

Like Temjin said, they like to avoid the bullet hell in the lower right, but I prefer to do mine in the lower left.

I'm pretty sure there wasn't any degen on the ground when I got in, but I might be tilted much to actually notice.

I currently have around 170 mil dps, but apparently is not enough to skip bullet hell phase yet.
However, my effective health pool is 37k. I don't have much regen and I still need to get better equipment. But I'm trying to see how to make it a little bit tankier, cause sometimes it really feels useless to have that much dps when you can't take a single hit.
