Leveling down sentinel power

I was doing some maps, and decided to use the "The Megalomaniac" unique stalker sentinel and empowered a betrayal encounter. After defeating the encounter, I got a message that said "Your Sentinel Controller now has 29 total power units" despite having 30 power already. When I went and checked my sentinel control panel, it seems that I leveled down my sentinel power.
