Lately 30 Second Lag Spikes

Recently, I have been experiencing random lag spikes in maps that often last for around 30 seconds. Afterwards the game becomes very stuttery. It almost always starts when a lot of special effects are initiated, for example triggering a strongbox or releasing an essence monster.

I haven't experienced this before and it started in this patch. Switching servers doesn't seem to help, nor does restarting. Internet connection doesn't seem to be the issues; I have glass fiber and no other applications are suffering from poor connections, for example discord works just fine.

Its really frustrating, because it causes me to die and prevents me from progressing at higher levels. Logging out during doesn't work either, because there is no connection to the server.

Anyone else experiencing the same, or any idea what causes it?

I have the same problem. normal latency is 60ms but every 30 seconds or so the latency goes above 8000. it's impossible to play this way. my ISP offers a latency below 60 at all times. I have fiber 1000/1000. I have tried with all the servers but the problem persists. I have uninstalled and checked the files twice.

having the same problem since the update,reinstalled the game,double checked my drivers,made sure that the GPU is on my Nvidia not Intel,updated win (in case that makes any difference) and all I get is the same random stutters and few minutes long loading screens for zones (a1 zones not blight/delirium or something else),scoured trough internet for solutions why my laptop is stuttering in PoE but nothing came up....

I have the same issue since last hotfix.
