Amulet anointment does not work

I recent applied the anointment to my amulet called "Purity of flesh" in sentinel league. It is meant to grant max life, es and chaos res. Instead it applies nothing. I have taken off all my gear to see is anything was conflicting. Not sure if this is my char or universal, but it's pretty frustrating.

You have it allocated on the passive tree already. You cannot double dip with anoints.
