[Solved] Abyss encountered even though I've removed that content in my atlas tree.
|
I just encountered an abyss encounter even though I've allocated Loved by the Sun.
![]() The map is a legacy map from 3.17; however, I've run other legacy maps and never encountered blocked content in them until now. (The map had no modifiers on it other than increased quantity.) Last edited by Sintactical#0765 on May 28, 2022, 1:43:07 PM Last bumped on May 28, 2022, 1:42:35 PM

You still can spawn blocked content with scarabs, sextants, map device mods (and "fortune favours the brave" too), map implicit/enchant.
Also atlas passives do not affect the Kirac missions. |

Right, I know that. All I did was run a white map, without anything else. And it wasn't a Kirac mission.
In fact, shortly after I posted this report, I ran another legacy map (again without anything else; white, no Kirac mission, no scarabs or sextants, no map device selection), and I got an Expedition encounter, which is also content I've blocked. I'm now starting to think that perhaps blocking content might not work with legacy maps after all. Many of those I had been running with Einhar missions, so that could have blocked other content. And I might have also had an unusual string of luck where content I had blocked simply didn't appear randomly. Last edited by Sintactical#0765 on May 25, 2022, 5:43:29 PM

" if I recall right legacy maps aren't on the atlas so don't benefit from the atlas tree. |

" Many legacy maps are on the Atlas. However, this ended up being partially correct. After further experimentation, I figured it out. It's not that it was a legacy map per se, but only that it was a map that was taken off of the Atlas. In this case, Haunted Mansion. Legacy maps that are still on the Atlas are still affected by the Atlas passive tree. Last edited by Sintactical#0765 on May 28, 2022, 1:53:07 PM
