Blood-Filled Vessel Question

Whenever I try use a Blood-Filled Vessel in my map decive along with a map nothing happens. The Vessel is not consumed and doesnt spawn / add anything to rituals in the map.

Do you have stream of consciousness specced in?
They might count as fragments, and thus not work with that. | |

Ah I totally forgot about stream of consciousness. Not having used the Vessels before I didnt think of them as fragments as such (even though it does say on them I think).
