what am I doing wrong?

I am new, noob etc...
I started with sentinel, and reached now level 39
I am running a Necro witch build
what I don't understand is this....
Skeletons lasts maybe 2-3 seconds in a boss fight
while Zombies lasts way way longer and even beyond boss fights.
spectres are good.

but why is it called a skeleton build? is skeletons so good? for me they only lasts a few seconds, while I am far better with Zombies

I summon 6 zombies and 8 skeletons and 10 skulls and 2 spectres.
out of that the zombies lasts the entire fight, skeletons die almost instantly

am I suppose to spam skeletons? do their 2-3 second a fight do so massive damage?

or am I just not getting it?

Understanding is key to learning so, I am eager to understand what am I suppose to do and learn to improve myself?

Yes you will constantly be spamming skeletons during boss fights/hard enemies. They are the vast majority of your dps.


After glancing at your gear put your summon skeletons in your tabula with all the dps gems in there as well. Your skeletons are on a 0 link in your boots right now which makes them effectively worthless.

Drop SRS entirely at this point as its redundant with summon skellies. Your spectres and zombies can be put in a link together somewhere else with more defensive gems since they are generally speaking your meat shields.

And after further review you have CI allocated with almost no ES gear. Im impressed you made it to level 39. There is a lot going wrong here with pretty much everything. The only unique you should be using right now is the tabula and MAYBE the helm.

Depending on what you want to do I would either continue to explore on my own until you hit a hard wall and come back for more help or go follow a basic summon skeleton guide. There are a few in the forums here.

I have switched the SRS with the Skeletons.
I did not completely understand the part with the CI,
but I wear as much ES (I take it thats energy shield) as I can get my hands on

as I said, I primarely do not understand the skeleton builds, cause when I use skeletons they do not do much damage. but I will try with this new switch of gems.

also now I have skeleton mages, and using some chaos orbs to get myself better gear. trying to figure out what gear though...
