Behead support

So after dying dozens of times to the new overtuned affixes i decide to try out Behead support to steal them however it doesn't work, is it just me or the gem is bugged?

Cyclone is not a strike skill so Behead can't support it.

If it does, that is a bug.

I've tried using Behead support on my Boneshatter Slayer and I've noticed every 3 or 4 rares I kill I get one of their buffs (ofc the tooltip doesn't tell you what you got). I've tried taking off ruthless support, and disabling any sort of ancestral extra strike passives and skills and none of this seems to help. Maybe there are certain archnemesis mods players can't get?
